The car Trouble that never ends!

The mechanic that we left are car with wasn't able to look at it till Monday. So Monday morning we called to find out what was wrong with the car there response was some oxygen sensor was bad and they replaced it and test drove the car and said it was fixed. We were quite relieved that it wasn't to serious or expensive. So we finished off our vacation and headed home Tuesday morning as planned. We stopped in St. George to pick up our car and drop off the rental. Then 40 miles out of Vegas the car starts chugging just like before. We were frustrated and didn't know what to do. First we called are Mechanic at home and he said that there is usually a bigger problem causing something small like the sensor they replaced and he didn't think we should try to make it home, next we called the guy who fixed are oil leak on the way up and they said we could bring it in but they wouldn't be able to get to it till the morning. So we chugged are way to the exit this time we made it to the first light before it died then we sat in the turn lane for a few lights before it would start again. we were able to chug all the way into the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino were we got a room for the night. The Hotel was really nice and there was lots to do we took the kids to the arcade and had dinner and then retired to the from for the night were the kids crashed out! In the morning Paul took the car in to the shop they fixed a few little problems and had Paul test drive it it drove fine and the check engine light turned off but we were not satisfied that that was the main problem. Mark the guy who fixed the car said that it could be the fuel injector and that it wouldn't show up on the computer as the problem and since are car still had the original and it had over a hundred thousand miles on it it wouldn't hurt to replace it so that's what they did by 3 we were on the road AGAIN the car ran fine the rest of the way and we finally made it home! The moral of the story is we have bad luck with cars on trips and this one will not be making anymore with us!!!

4th Of July Trip

So we left for Utah on the 3rd at 3am and made it to Vegas about 7 when we stopped for gas Paul noticed smoke coming out of the car and looked to find our oil was leaking so after driving to four different shops we found someone to look at are car and they found the problem and fixed it pretty quick. Back on the road and coming into St. George the car started chugging like it wasn't getting any gas when we were exiting the freeway the car died on the off ramp so we sat for a few and got it started again we decided to try and trade it in for a new car cause there was a dealership right there. After test driving and running numbers we came to the conclusion that it wouldn't work out so plan B was find a mechanic and a car rental. after a half hour of phone calls we dropped a car off at a shop and the rental car place picked us up then we spent another 2 hours trying to rent a car ( everything you could think of went wrong) finally we got back on the road at about 6 and arrived at Missi's around 9! So much for getting there early all though we were happy to get there at all!On the 4th we went to the parade in Provo!
The kids really enjoyed the parade! And after ward we had lunch and went back to Missi's for a nap in the evening Everyone went to Mike and Kelliann's for a fabulous BBQ a soggy water Fight and some super fire works! Kenlee was mesmerised by the sparkler!
